Truly He Taught Us To Love One Another

My favorite Christmas song is 'Oh Holy Night' for sure... Take a second and read the lyrics.

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born; O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease
.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us, praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Oh, Praise His name forever! His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

I LOVE Christmas! Anyone who has ever met me knows this. I have been counting down since August for a couple reasons. The biggest reason is because of exactly what that song reminds us. The God who created the world and everything in it made himself like us so that we understand that we are worth something. Christ came to the earth and showed us that we are special to Him. We have worth! He showed us how to love one another. We have a clear example of how to do it! How could we not praise his name forever???
Christmas is also great because it brings people together like no other time of the year. I get to go home for a couple weeks to celebrate with my family! I already have parties, cookie decorating, christmas eve services, decorating, games, movies, and just visiting with loved ones filling up the time. I couldn't ask for anything better.
I hope you enjoy the Christmas season this year. Remember that this holiday is here so we remember the Baby that saved us. Oh night, Holy Night, O night divine!
